What is the Myofascial Energetic Release Training?
MER is deep bodywork, working with the muscles (myo) and connective tissue (fascia) of the body. Fascia can become hard, it can dry out, loose elasticity, shorten, tense up and also get stuck to other tissues. Muscles can become tense and cramped as a result of too little movement, repetitive movement or emotional stress. The result is stiffness, body pain, poor posture and a feeling of being out of touch with yourself.
Another factor having a negative impact on your myo-fascia is living a stressful life and repressing emotions. Your breathing will become superficial and you develop holding patterns in your body and mind which will limit your ability to feel and to express yourself.
In the Myofascial Energetic Release (MER) training you will learn the art and science of providing deep bodywork with, hands-on strokes, assisted stretches, myofascial unwinding and joint mobilisation, coupled with emotional awareness and release.
The effects are diverse: Tension and holding patterns in the body are released. Body-pain is often a result of muscle spasm and will improve greatly from MER. You will find it easier to breathe fully and deeply. Your posture and body awareness will improve. This allows you to better feel your own emotions and manage your own energy, helping you reach a greater peace of mind. The metabolism picks up again and oxygen and nutrients can again circulate freely through your system. Deep tissue massage also stimulates the release of endorphins, a natural painkiller. Generally, you are very relaxed after a session of MER. You will also feel that you are more flexible in your body and that you can enjoy more freedom of movement.
The goal of a Myofascial Energetic Release session is to relieve pain, restore physical function and achieve balance between the body and the mind, allowing the client to lead a full and active life.
MER is developed by Satyarthi Peloquin, who is one of the original creators of Rebalancing. It is the sum of his 47 years of experience and training in deep bodywork. MER trainings are happening in France, Poland, Greece and The Netherlands. Now also in Denmark/Scandinavia.
This training will give you a professional skill that you can use to work with clients, helping them significantly improve both their physical and emotional state of being. You will learn to activate the body’s natural ability for self-regulation and healing.
The objective of the MER training is for you to successfully ground you in your own personal experience of MER. In turn, you will develop the confidence, knowledge and skills to facilitate MER sessions for your clients and create a thriving practise.
Many trainees of MER are already therapists and bodyworkers and want to include MER in their practise. Beginners are also welcome to come and learn this beautiful work. You can start the MER training with any of the 6 modules as all modules (except for the Advanced module) can be taken in any order.
